Crazy Food Hair

Tavie has started doing a new thing……smearing food in her hair. For some reason this gives her great delight. Oh, such fun to rub my sticky food fingers in my hair. There is just nothing better in life. This isn’t exactly the type of milestone I’m super thrilled about. So, to memorialize this new habit I’m posting a picture. I’m really hoping this is a short lived phase. Kira is more into feeding the dogs during meal time than smearing the food in her hair.

The girls have been reaching a new level of playing together. They are starting to communicate with each other more and really play together. They will often follow each other around the house and play together as they travel from room to room. It’s very fun to see their relationship budding. When I’m putting them down for their nap or bedtime Tavie will pat Kira’s back while I’m rocking them. It’s very precious. Along with the good playing comes the fighting, too. They get pretty vicious fighting for toys. Kira is the more aggressive child and will bite and pinch Tavie.  But Tavie can put up a good fight when she doesn’t want her toy taken from her.  I’m sure as their playing gets more intricate and advanced there will be more fighting.  We will all have to learn how to cope and help them with strategies for peaceful playing.  All in good time.

And as always Iris is the good big sister and loves playing with the twins. She tells me almost every day how glad she is to have two sisters. Now if she would quit bugging me about wanting a brother :)
