We had another nice visit to the Arboretum today. Last week a woman at the playground took a picture of Iris to hang up at one of the play stations so we got to see her picture today. There is a series of fairy books at the gift shop that Iris has been reading. In order to get a new book in the series she has to do a book report and she finished a report this morning. Iris was thrilled to get her new book. We all love going to the Arboretum and it’s been a very fun summer activity for us. It seems we have not even seen a tenth of the gardens or things to explore. Last week we had fun getting lost in the maze.
And on a yoga note I officially enrolled in my yoga studio’s year long teacher training program yesterday! I am so, so excited I can hardly stand it. I have been wanting to do this on and off since I was 21 and I feel elated that the time has finally come and it seems right in my life. I have no doubt that the program will challenge me on many levels – but it will only deepen my yoga practice. And that is good. When I’m finished with the program I’ll be certified to teach and I think that will be a good thing in my life as well. It will give me something to focus on and get me out of the house. It will also be flexible enough for me to teach on a part time basis with our hectic schedule here at our home.
