Happy Anniversary 2009

January 1st is our wedding anniversary.  It’s always fun to think about our wedding and our marriage this time of year.  B and I get each other cards and pick out something to buy together that we need or want.  Last year it was an espresso maker, this year, kitchen appliances have won out again and we are going to get a new food processor and toaster oven.  It’s become a tradition to have fondue for our anniversary.  This year I also made a strawberry poke cake (recipe from Cooks Country).  In the afternoon we went sledding in Waconia which turned out to be a very windy and chilly adventure.  But the hill was HUGE.  Iris generally enjoys anything extreme and intrepid like this.  The twins and the adults decided not to put our lives in danger.  It was nice to come home and have a warm smoky cheese fondue and cake.
