Peaceful Morning
This morning the girls hung out in the sun room reading books and drawing while I finished my coffee (decaf of course!). It was very peaceful and if they understood my gratitude I would thank them profusely for the peaceful morning. It’s going to be a beautiful, sunny day today. Spring has been so nice this year. Tuesday we went for a playdate at Lake Ann park with some of my ECFE mommy friends. There are beautiful trails through the woods and near the lake so Kira decided she wanted to go for a little adventure. We had a gorgeous walk through the woods and as we were crossing a little bridge under big oak trees Tavie said to me, “bootiful mommy”. It was very heartwarming to hear my daughter appreciating the beautiful woods and the beautiful day.
Iris is almost done with her 2nd grade school year. She had her first concert a few weeks ago. She was very animated on stage singing songs with the other 2nd graders. She requested I make her a dress with an apron so the picture posted here shows her in her new dress. We went out for ice cream after the concert at a little ice cream stand we like on Lake Minnetonka.
I am 37 weeks pregnant and will soon be having this baby. I’ve been busy making lists and trying to find the energy to do all the things on my lists. I’ve been having a lot of practice contractions and have even thought I was coming close to being in labor a few times. I think it’ll be a few weeks yet, though. Blayne has been working on the boy’s room. It is ready to be painted. The baby will sleep with us for the first several months so I’m not too worried about having the room completely finished, but I would like it to be painted and usable so all of his stuff can be in his room and not our bedroom! I am very ready to be done being pregnant. I’m ready to hold this baby and I’m ready to get back in shape.
